Has anyone tried the DataFlyer SCSI+ adapter yet? (It's the SCSI adapter
that plugs in to the IDE header and gives you access to 5 SCSI
peripherals.)

Surprisingly, the SCSI+ driver sped up my IDE drive too, go figure…
Is there anything in particular that you want to know about it?

My dealer has one in his 1200 and it sped up his IDE drive, too. I ordered
one, but it has not yet arrived. Something about a last minute PAL change
or something which is delaying shipments.

How transparent is it, and what devices do you have on it?
Just for S&G, what kind of transfer rate are you getting?

I just have two hard drives hanging off it now (one 290M Maxtor, and one
52M Quantum.) I plan to put a CDRom in eventually, as well as a removable
drive of some kind. (I'm leaning towards a MO, if I get get one used! 🙂
The Seagate internal IDE went from 200K to 800K/s+. The Maxtor get's
about 750K/s, and the Quantum about 700K/s.

Good deal… thanks for the info. I want it primarily for a CD-Rom and a
tape back up.
Does it have a "splitter" that allows me to plug my IDE internal back in
after the SCSI+ takes up the header, or do I need to get one?

Yep, it has a 44 pin connector on the top of the board to plug in the
internal IDE drive.
