Uploading CQKJ20.ZIP (about 9k) and .ARC (about 16k) this morning. Some official announcements and such in these packets. Are they getting any downloads? Angus: You can check to see if those files have any activity … just BROwse the library, and each file that has been downloaded will have its "count" changed … the "count" can be seen in the upper right hand corner of the file description. rick Needham/SYSOP

RN> You can check to see if those files have any activity … just BROwse Thanks, Rick, I know that. I just do all my messaging with OZCIS, offline, and never get into the libraries. I figured that Doug, with his free sysop flag, would be able to check for me on someone else's nickel <Scottish grin>. Yours in freedom, -=< Angus Scott-Fleming >=- GeoApplications Tucson, Arizona P.S. thanks for the download counts. Good to see my time wasn't wasted. * TANSTAAFL * Sorry, the brain you have reached is disconnected.

Angus, My, my! What strange people show up at strange places. How are you? Haven't heard much from/about you for a long time. I think I accidently let my ACOGS subscription expire. Was in Tucson for my sister's graduation last month. Ended up sitting beside young Dr. Lacey (the attorney, son of geologist) but didn't find out until end of ceremony. Best, Gary

GR> My, my! What strange people show up at strange places. How are you? GR> Haven't heard much from/about you for a long time. Forum tag! Guess I'm it, now I have to find you somewhere else in Cyberspace (on CIS doesn't count). Do you hang out elsewhere too? ACOGS died a peaceful death earlier this spring due to lack of need for the services it provided. Used to be there were only a few of us computing geologists but now almost all geo-types compute so there is computer support at all geologic meetings. On its way out it donated $13k to local schools for scholarship money, so it did serve a purpose <grin>. Sorry I missed you during your visit. The Zenith Z-152 you sold me is still going strong, I used it as the print-server on my office network for several years and it is now in my son's pre-school's kindergarten room being used to teach computing skills and numbers and letters. I'm doing geo- and other computer consulting (mostly other) but am active in GeoInfo, the international network of geologic BBSes. Nodes are listed in GEOINF.ZIP, a file on-line here. Talk at you later – gotta run and help a client get their automatic e-mail system up and running again. I don't hang out on other forums, other than AVSIG here, not even this one. Time is a factor, but will check out your file here on BBS's. Glad your Zenith is still working, most of them I sold are still running. Kind of let the computer business die a natural death when the discount stores started selling shoes (I mean computers). Geology business was going great until 1991, so it took up most of my energy. It took a nose dive and hopefully stopped plummeting by the end of this month. Good luck on your consulting! Maybe see you sometime in AZ. Gary
