Anipro bad color disp

All of a sudden my anipro V1.3 will not convert and display TGA
files converted to Gif. The colors are almost inverted and scrambled
on the targa 64+ board display. However when displaying them on the NTSC screen
with 3ds viewer all is perfect. This problem also exists using previously
created Flc files.
QUESTION ?: HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER INCOUNTERED THIS ?. What causes it and
how to fix it. I am running a 486/66 16 meg ram and QEMM386.
Targa mode has been tried in almost every conceivable config.

How are you creating the Targa files? Are they created as 8bit or 24bit files?

What's changed on your system? New hardware? New software? Did you reconfigure
any programs?

Truthfully Brian I have tried to correct this color problem with so many
different configurations now I just can't tell you what is new and what is not.
Question will memory problems cause a situation like this ?.
The Targa address has not changed I am sure of that. I have redone the config
sys file untill I am blue in the face. I really need to straighten this out. I
use anipro for a rendering device to S-VHS.
without it I am just dead. I can no longer work around this problem.
Question Is this a common problem ?. or is this unique ?. I have reloaded the
program, Drivers, changed Tmode, Etc.
question Would a hardware cache or any hardware setup cause this ?.

Anything and Everything could be suspect. Start from basics. Strip the system
to files, buffers, prompt, and mouse. Get AAPRO working. Then add components
back in one at a time. that is the only way to track down a conflict. Only add
in lines that you absolutely need. So forget putting the CD-ROM and Sound card
drivers back in (if you have those, you get the idea…).

Brian… Your advice is well taken. However I have done this no less
than 3 times, I also have re loaded drivers and the program.
Question: Have you ever incountered a CMOS Setup that would cause this ?. I am
now working with this and I am able to change the garbled colors but not
correct the problem entirely. Is it possible that I have some sort of funny
Mother board or ? . Any ideas ? I am willing to try almost anything at this
point. Days are passing by and I am slowly going broke over this.

Yes, but does the software work in the files,buffers,prompt,mouse
configuration? With nothing else loaded? This means we have identified the
setup as the problem, and not the hardware.

Sure. Video shadow, disk cache, shadow rom could be suspects.

Unusual, but not impossible. It is an intel board, right?
Tell us exactly which brand and model you have, maybe someone else has the
exact same system.

Brian… Your last reply has given me a few tips on where to look for my
problem that I have not tried yet. I shall try all avenues you suggested and
let you know how it works out.
