I don't recall anymore, MUCH longer than it should have. I'm not sure if I
mentioned this before but we got lost on the way back! By the time we figured
out where we were and got to the hotel, MicheleB had konked out in the back of
the van and Gary was fading in and out of being lucid. (I should say, more than
usual)
Does JoeF=Joe Fantuzi? If so then who is LoriM? Besides, I thought you were
with TimF, JimB and RonS. {:-|
What sort of worries me (only a tad) is we haven't heard from MicheleB since. I
know 'Daniel*' was supposed to show up on Saturday but she's got her laptop. I
would have expected her to pop up on the forum by now.
Oh well, another minor mystery…

Hi Jamie,
Yeah, We waited around for a bit and had a drink or two before splitting to
Church Street Station to hang with the locals (LeeS, JeffR, SteveS…)<g>.
Yeah, it was Joe Fantuzi and a marketing person I *think* was named Lori
Manillo…you won't believe this, but it was her birthday too! So we had a
drink and talked a little about 3DS stuff, wondered if you guys were OK, and
took off to CCS for a Howlin' at the Moon episode.
Gosh, I hope MicheleB is OK. If I know her, she'll pop up at any given time
from a continent To-Be-Announced!<g> I hope, anyway.
Let us know if you hear from her, OK?

One of the locals, I'm not sure I deserve such a compliment. My territory
lies about 2.5 hours west of there. As I remember correctly it was
TomR who led us into such a deadly environment but HEY! we survived!

I think you ment to say SteveP. Everyone repeat after me "P is for Pidgeon"
Although after that nite it took me several hours to remember my own name.
My wife interviewed at GI in San Diego last week. I could very well be in
your little corner of the world soon. You can count on the fact that I
will be looking for work in the 3DS vein the day I reach S.Cal soil. Maybe
you'll be available for an initial tour. Hell, a WORLD TOUR. We could form
the renound 3DS Users Band and project flc files on a screen behind. We
would need a brass section, kind of like the Mothers of Invention /w Zuben
Meta conducting the LA Symphony.

We had the wrong person in the fishing boat in Florida!
Last Sunday, Susan and I went for a kayak trip through upper Newport Bay. We
saw a few fish jumping, nothing exciting, until a 16 incher jumped out of the
water after a fly and hit her! It was the funniest thing – she was pulling
scales out or her blouse all afternoon and throwing them at me!
Even if we didn't catch anything, perhaps one would have jumped into the boat
at her!

Hey eventhough she would have had a horrible time I am still dissapointed
she couldn't make it. Did you get the porpoise snapshots? Next time
you are here to see relatives please give me a call. We can attempt it all
again. Bet ya we can't recreate it!

Hey, if you are a Floridian, you were local to me! TomR gets the blame for my
headache the next morning by "local default", however!
Yeah, I must have been thinking (or probably NOT thinking, as the case may be)
of something pretty weird to type Steve…S! With a name like Pidgeon, how
could I have forgotten? Blame it on that damn Rumple Mintz!
Hey, if ya find yourselves in the SD area DO lemme know! We'll take care of ya,
'cause SD is loaded with very nice 3DS people, whom I am proud to call myself
friends of. It's felt a little (well, not that bad<g>) like Florida recently
'cause of unusual humidity levels and fairly represive heat. But hey, it IS a
desert out here…

We are in a holding pattern. She interviewed at Dictaphone in Stratford
Connecticut on Monday and Thompson Elect. (RCA) last Friday in
Indianapolis, Indiana. I hope I can also talk to people in those areas to
get some response on the 3DS scene, not to mention the music scene as
well. I'm still not happy if I'm not playing out in front of an audience
at least once or twice a month. Must be somthing in the water :-).

Hi Lee,
I'm afraid I don't recall which of the many faces you were at Siggraph, but I
believe we chatted for a few minutes. Perhaps I can shed some light on the 3DS
and music scenes here in Connecticut.
FWIW, Stratford is a great community, relatively near EVERYTHING. I-95 really
sucks – I think the traffic here rivals what I hear about LA. For food, music
and entertainment, you would be about an hour or so from Manhattan. Enough
said about that. You would be about 20 minutes from New Haven. The Yale
community brings some great ethnic diversity and art/music rivaling the "big"
cities. I'd rank the area food close behind New York and San Francisco. The
music scene is not bad. There are 2 "mainstream" clubs that get all the
moderately popular bands. Within 45 minutes is the Hartford Civic Center which
gets most of the major bands. New Haven alone has many "small" clubs that
offer open mikes and music by local bands.
The 3DS scene up here isn't as "hot" as it seems to be on the West Coast, but
the close proximity to NYC keeps it fairly active. All the services available
on the west coast can be found in the City. There are presently 2 nearby user
groups Boston Area and NY.
If you'd like any more specifics, or wish to get together on another trip up
this way, let me know.

It was great seeing you and everybody else face to face. So you did make it to
Church Street Station. Jan and I had to bug out before you got there. Previous
commitment to tour the Kingdom with my offspring, you know. But anyway, it was
great to see some of the faces like you and Martin, Jamie, etc. Gee, I hope
nobody gets insulted for being referred to as an etc. Anyway, hi.

It was GREAT meeting you at Siggraph and seeing that <Big Grin> in person! We
really had a nice time, eh? Sheesh, but I can't wait 'till next year already
(this is weird, huh?), 'cause I always have such a good time at these things.
I hope you get to smelLA next year, and we can hang out a bit. I'd like to hear
about some of the projects you've been working on. You are one of the folks
that started out in this forum quite early (back when I mostly lurked!) and I
remember your messages from way back.
