#DPS Par Run Time Error

My DPS Par installed fine, and PARINIT and PARDRV install correctly with each
boot. I was able to go through all the diagnostics for board and hard disk
(Micropolis 2217A) with no problem. So far so good.
HOWEVER, when I type "PAR" from the DPS_PAR directory, I get no further than
the following message – "Run Time error R6003 – integer divide by 0". So far.
the problem has both DPS and Micropolis stumped. At first they thought it was
an old version of the PAR software, but I downloaded the new stuff from their
BBS. No luck. Then they thought it might be due to a conflict with the firmware
on some of the newer 2217A drives. My drive was not in that category,
apparently. Last word was that "DPS was going to try to reach their DOS
programmer." That was Monday.
Anyone have any ideas? I tried stripping the boot process down to exclude as
many device drivers as possible. I haven't tried to disable Netroom 3.02 (my
memory manager) yet.

I have had excellent results using QEMM with the PAR software, Bob. It may be
worth a try…See what Gus says.

Netroom is a great memory manager (I have 633 k bytes of base memory), but it
does wierd things like load the BIOS high and reposition the "hard-coded" video
area that is part of the first meg.
We'll see. In the meantime, I can dream of what my PAR and the 1.6 gig drive
can do. 🙁

Start with a stripped-down config.sys and autoexec.bat and see if it runs from
there. Then add one line back in at a time until it crashes. I would
definitely get rid of Netroom first.
