Here's a tip for you, Tony:
Is this a commercial project? If it is, you're probably not going to find a
very good skeleton for low bucks. Speaking as a real mesh-hound (I operate a
BBS that has tons of meshes on-line) I've looked for a good skeleton object and
the best one I have is sort of "stylized" and not medically accurate.
If your project is non-commercial, i.e. a demo, a proof-of-concept, a thesis…
Viewpoint will supply you with one of their outstanding skeleton models for a
credit on your reel (as you described). Basically to take advantage of this
offer you must fax a request to Viewpoint describing your situation. Address it
to John Thomas. I don't know their FAX, but the phone number is 800-DATASET.
Yours,
Jim
Jim, what is the number of your BBS?
Rachid
>>Jim, what is the number of your BBS?
The Rendering Plant BBS is at 816-525-5614. The number printed by my 3DS
Tutorial ("When Deform Fits") in the last copy of 3D Artist (the one with the
"Visible David" on the cover) is wrong.
Anyone wanting additional info as well as a great mesh should download the Star
Wars-style TIE Interceptor space fighter mesh in the mesh file area here on
CIS. I think it's a good example of the sort of quality and time we put into
all of our on-line meshes. We add about 15 a month.
Thanks for your interest –
Jim
Got it Jim, thanks for the number… I'll give it a ring…

Thank you for the public query, Rachid. How's 3D in P.R.? Or did you move? I
remember messaging with you on PCGNet sometime back.

Well, I'm in Puerto Rico right now, but just for a month. I was living at
Houston, TX this summer working for NASA at the Johnson Space Center. Now I'm
moving to Ohio, because I'm going back to the University to get a Masters in
Architecture…
