First off, the Commodore 040 card isn't supposed to work in a stock A3000 due
to heat problems. If you've decided to give it a try anyway, all you'll have to
do is disassemble the 3000, remove the powersupply, you will see 4 screw
locations, and a connector towards the front of the machine. Push the card
gently into the connector, and the 4 screwholes should then line up with the 4
holes in the 040 card, just screw it in, reassemble machine (you'll need to
remove all expansion cards, and the daughterboard to get the powersupply out),
and it should fly.

Mike, just installing the A3640 into the A3000 isn't enough since there
seems to be some PIN changing that has to be done and some software as
well.

After I wrote my message to you I read some of the other replies, and
remembered that I had to change some jumpers! I also forgot all about
installing the 68040.library, as well as some of the other programs needed to
get it running. If you're going to use 3.1 then it'll have the latest
68040.library file in it, and basically setpatch installs it, so as far as OS
specific additions, that'll do it. There is also a patch for the arp.library to
make it more compatible with an 040, but I don't remember the patch's filename.
