John, The trace you want to cut is J500. This is back of the GARY chip. There should be two pads with a trace between them surrounded by a silkscreened box and the legend "J500". Cut the trace between the two pads with an X-acto knife,…… but be careful… it's easy to slip and slash adjacent traces. I like to check with an ohmeter afterwards, sometimes it's hard to tell if the trace is fully cut. Note that you also need to change a jumper setting. J101, to the lower right of the power connector should be to the left, shorting pins 2 and 3. That should do it. -Jim MOS via Autopilot & Amiga

Jim, I thought i had read it somewhere. It turns out that it was in my MegaChip manual. I had only read it once since it didn't apply to my motherboard. Thanks for the response tho! John
