For sale: Brand new, never-used 40 mhz 68882 Motorola floating math coprocessor, newer PLCC variety (does not have pin mounts). With 40 mhz crystal. I bought this for an A1200 memory board that I'm abandoning. Never got far enough to use it. I've a potentially very good deal for you. This is the German-made Eureka ECS board, marketed here by Micro R&D. Takes 32-bit SIMMs up to 8 megs. Zero wait states, rechargeable clock, supports PLCC 68881 or 68882 FPU at asynchronous clock rates. I don't need it because I bought another board. This board worked fine the first time I installed it, but I had trouble reinstalling it after I pulled it to put in the 68882 (which I never did). Extremely tight fit, required me to open the case and go in from the keyboard side. When I managed to wrest it loose, the RF shield scratched the underside slightly. It looks like there could be a damaged trace, but if so any solder jockey could deal with it. The board has only been used about an hour and comes naked with original box, warranty card, instructions, etc. Blowing it out at $50 incl. shipping. Buy it along with the 68882 and I'll knock $15 off the total price. Reply via E-mail.
