#EE100 IR Transmit Prob.
3 messages in this thread
Well, I tried 2.5 and still the unit will not transmit. Everything
else works fine. I sent Mark/SYSOP, a copy of my startup files which
you probably saw. Here is some more info on my system that might
shed some light. In MM300 and under the systems menu, Versions:
everything is version 50.3 except for the following: Scala EX: LANC
2.17 and Scala EX: InfraRed 2.5, Kickstart 37.175, Workbench:
38.36, SetPatch: 38.32, ECS Denise, ECS Agnus, CPU: 68030,68882
(GVP) and 12 meg of RAM.
Everything else is working wonderfully with MM300 and EE100. It just wont
transmit.
Questions: Should the Serial Preferences be set-up in any specific way?
(XON/XOFF or RTS/CTS or None) And, are there any electrical adjustments that I
could make to the hardware?
By the way. Thanks for all the help youve given me so far. With my busy
schedule, this is the best way I can try to solve this issue.

Russ,
Thank you for the very descriptive configuration on your system. It could be
the transmit "diode" on your Echo is shot. Everything else on your system
seems to be fine. No it is not necessary to change the parameters for the
serial port.
If you wish, you can send in your Echo cable and we will replace it within 24
hours. Send it to my attention.
