Well (you caught me on a good night), expect a lot of stuff on Metaform in LWPRO, but here's a quick one… Have you ever wandered how the Texture Cubes in the Texture scene were created? It's not that easy a shape to make in Modeler, With Metaform it's easy. Create a box in Modeler using the default Numeric settings EXCEPT change the number of segments to 4 for X, Y and Z. Metaform it twice (no Fractal setting) and you have a box with super nice rounded corners. I've seen objects (and so will you) that have been created in Metaform that would be impossible to model otherwise. For complicated objects, you get much smoother angles and less polys than if you created the object with splines. We are starting to use splines less and less now. SOME TIPS: Make sure that your Modeler Options do not create two-sided polygons. Check for, and triple the non-planars after Metaforming. Metaform only works on three or four point polys. Any connecting sections between primitive objects should not contain polygons. JG

Thanks for the info. I'll be going straight to Modeler to see what I was doing wrong. Wish I could get LWPro at my local Ami Dealer. ….John
