Anyone download the new 3.41 version of Lightwave's Screamer version from the NewTek BBS? I downloaded it tonite, did everything I was suppose to (as far as setting up ScreamerNetdisk1 and ScreamerNetdisk2), I click on the install icon, get the regular message "full install or update", I choose full install, then it asks where to put the Inetd file, and I tell it, as soon as it starts to copy the file, it gives me the message "sorry an error occured, copy error in source file/drawer." Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am not really fluent in AmigaDOS so I am sure it is something simple — I hope. Thanks in advance. Adib

Adib, Sorry you're having trouble. Would you mind giving me the number for the BBS? I have the original Beta software still… POlo

The BBS Number is 913-271-9299. But its not going to do you much good if you don't have an account set up. So I suggest you get a hold of Brad Peebler and see what he can do for you.

Hey, just out of curiosity what is the number for the NewTek BBS. The one I have is for a fax machine, and they never return my faxes asking what the BBS number is….

The BBS Number is 913-271-9299. But you need to have an account in order to log on.

Pardon me Adib, but what exactly do you mean by having an account on the Newtek BBS? How do you get one? POlo

You cannot just log on and download anything you feel like taking. You have to call NewTek, and get an account (they set you up on their computer- their is no cost involved) so that when you dial the BBS, it allows you to enter the system and see the files that you are allowed to have access to. I think that they had the ScreamerNet update on just one night, if you need it call Brad Peebler, or wait to get the actual disks. But the BBS has security access control on it, so when they set you up on their computer, they let the BBS software know the level of access you will have. I hope this helps.
