In the future will Imagine be able to use a disk swapping prosess when not enough memory is avalible?

Yeah, no kidding. I have a 1 Gig HD but only 8 meg of memory, and I run into memory problems rendering all the time! Do I really need to invest another $350 in hardware (another 8 meg 'o memory) ? Hope not! Virtual memory would be a godsend! Bernie

I think you should seriously think about investing in more memory. I've used virtual memory schemes before, and they have a tendency to slam system performance into the dirt. No doubt a custom designed virtual memory setup (i.e. written by Impulse, for Imagine) would be better than a general scheme, but I bet you'd still be far better off with more RAM rather than a software-only VM scheme… Jim Shields (who just socked off $700 for 16M more memory…) Regal Rodent Development
