I need help installing an EGS 28/24 Spectrum The software install seems to proceed normally until I reboot. During the reboot, I get an error message saying "No LEGS installed". I answer "OK" and I get the default Amiga screen. When I try to run EGS-DisplayAdjust, nothing happens (ie no program starts up…no apparent reaction at all). I can run several other EGS programs such as ScreenModes, etc and successful use those but I can't do much else. I've tried deleting everything, restore boot partition and re-doing software install with same result. My hardware setup…A2000 w/GVP 040 accelerator. NEC 5FG (with adaptor plug for cable) and FlickerFixer2 looping into Spectrum input (ie one monitor) HELP !!! Thanks Richard Nichol

Richard, The "NO LEGS INSTALLED" means that the hardware is not found. This could be because the board is not properly installed or another board is preventing the Spectrum board from autoconfiguring. In an A2000, you need to leave 2MB of autoconfig memory space open for the Spectrums video memory to configure. The other results described are consistent with the board not being present. Try re-installing the board. Remove any other boards except for the Spectrum and the G-Force board. Use the SHOWCONFIG program that comes with Workbench to see if the board is there. The manufacture code will be 2193 and there should be two entries. GVP TECH
