The scanner cable specifications are in the README on the first disk. You can order the cable directly from Redmond Cables by requesting the "GVP" cable for ImageFX. Kermit Woodall Nova Design, Inc.

Kermit, the scanner specs are on the first disk… of version 1.0. As of v1.5 they are no longer in the readme. Alas, all we have in stock at the store here is v1.5. How's 2.0 coming? Chris – Xenon (xenon@arcticus.burner.com)

I'm grab the scanner specs and post 'em here asap. ImageFX 2.0 is very nearly here now. Things have come together very nicely and we've added a LOT of new features and many surprises! Kermit Woodall Nova Design, Inc.

Kermit, I'm a 1.0 or 1.1 or something Image F/X owner and want to upgrade mainly because I thought that newer versions can read Framestore files. Is this the case? I don't mind working on the files in HAM, but loading them up in TPaint and saving as 24Bit files and then the reverse is driving me crazy. Can the 1.5 upgrade do this? Know of any vendors who'll sell it to me?

Framestore support is provided via Byrd's Eye Software's ToasterFX package which is an addon to ImageFX. This package provides the best framestore conversions and display options you could want. It was designed for ImageFX 1.5 however. You'll have to ask them about 1.03 level support. When you work on an image in HAM, it's not really in HAM – but just shown as HAM. It's still in full color internally. The ImageFX 1.5 "Upgrade" is no longer available. We'll be shipping ImageFX 2.0 very soon now. Kermit Woodall Nova Design, Inc.

Kermit, Since the 1.5 Upgrade is no longer available…Is there an upgrade path to 2.0? Or do we have to re-invest in the new package? I'm not overly concerned with the display of the Framestore. As in using the Framebuffer of the Toaster. I just want to be able to read a Framestore format file into I F/X and write it back as the same. Later, Jim

Jim, there will be an upgrade path for all registered ImageFX owners. No worries. 🙂 Kermit Woodall Nova Design, Inc.
