In 3D StudioR3 how would you measure and opening say a window in a 3d
house so that you could draw the window in the 2D shaper and then insert it
in that opening so that there would not be any over-lapping edges. I used
to drawing in AutoCad and find that very easy compared to 3D Studio. It
seems as though this relatively simple operation is very complex in 3D
Studio or have I missed something?
Dale, try this. Align a user view in the 3D Editor so you are looking
squarely at the window. Next go to the Shaper and turn on your 3D Display
and choose your window. This should give you a close representation for
your object. If its not the right size, after lofting use the 2D Scale with
the local axis icon turned in the 3D Editor.Hope this helps.
