Denver, Colorado – Schreiber Instruments, Inc. is pleased to announce a new 24
hour password service for its customers. Starting September 1, 1994 customers
of Schreiber 3DStudio plug-in software will be able to receive authorization
codes toll free 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To use this service customers
can call 1-800- 252-1024, Schreibers existing 800 telephone lines.
Schreiber Instruments, Inc. is also pleased to announce a new policy for its
new 3DStudio plug-in products. "Starting in September all new Schreiber
3DStudio plug-in product offerings will be released as unprotected software."

stated that, "The need for protection in our existing 3DStudio Plug-In products
will be reevaluated during the next few months also." These changes will
provide our 3DStudio customers better products with fewer limitations in todays
ever demanding network rendering environment.

Fantastic! I'd like to cast my vote for re-release of the existing IPAS
without the protection! I may then have to take another hard look at your
catalog.
With the current direction of 3DS as a Plug-in host, your new policy will
simplify the system.

If this is true I would like to say thanks, and can I trade mine in for the
unprotected version? I will be purchasing the new unprotected IPAS's. And
looking forward to it.

Here here on the new policy! I'll cast my vote for a re-release as well.
No person will ever get free software from me. Where's the sence in that
he/she would then have acquired an edge in producing anims/whatever
which I had to pay for. I don't think so.
I'm more than willing to discuss stock SW techniques w/ people but if they
want cool effects they have to pay for them just as i have.
Your responsiveness to the attitudes of your customers is commendable!!
