If anybody is looking for an image effects IPAS you should check out the new Mirage IPAS from Digimation. It has without a doubt the most intuitive interface of any IPAS yet. I was really impressed and was able to use it without reading the manual or dissecting the samples. I would like to see other IPAS producing companies take a look at this interface. I heard when I bought it that there would be a convertable demo with video tape coming soon, another plus. If this is the future look of IPAS then sign me up! Kenneth W. George

Thanks for the kind words about our new product. Aaron and I took a brave new step with the interfaces and we are pleased that you like them. Please send us or Digimation your comments on the current version and any new features you want to see for the next release (first of the year). The folks at Digimation are doing a great job distributing and supporting MIRAGE for us. Best wishes for exciting new animations and keep in touch, we aim to please. Regards, Gary Gosha

I've been having a blast with Mirage, too. Just used it in a series of 3 television spots. John Tissavary (LUNA cie, inc)

Hi John, Have you created anything that you can send to me. We want to put together a CD featuring demos of MIRAGE, BONES and 3 or 4 other really cool IPAS routines that we're working on. We're looking for some animations to stick on there to show them off. Thanks. David – Digimation

I'll try and get you the part from the T.V. spot, but I've got to get clearance first – it'll be next week before I know. BTW, did you get my e-mail re bones? cheers, John Tissavary (LUNA cie, inc)

Thanks for keeping us updated on how Mirage is being used and we are pleased that you like the product. We are planning a rather extensive demo reel and would like to include creative work from many animators, keep us informed. Regards, Gary and Mr. Wizard

I'll have an answer on whether I can get a release on the Mirage part of the TV spots. As a matter of fact, the effect will be used in 3 more spots coming up shortly, though they are just variations on the original spots. John Tissavary (LUNA cie, inc)

I also just received the Mirage and the Interface is excellent! It's very intuitive. I also was able to do some test examples quickly without reading the manual. Aside from the obvious effects, Mirage can be used for producing a lot of different effects. I can't wait for their AXP and KXP routines to come out. That's right! It's a plug… but for a great product with a great interface! Craig.
