Help! I have a Diamond Speedstar Pro version 2.15 1 MB RAM. It only works with the 640 x 480 x 16 mode. Any other mode when installed gives an error when installed in the Vibrant drivers "3ds vibcfg" test facility. Bill (very nice fellow) at Vibrant said I have a Cirrus Logic CL 5429 chip which is not yet supported. The controller does not work well in the VESA compatable mode as it gets a "OPPS out of dither array" error and locks the computer. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Andrew, I'd verify that you indeed have the CL 5429 chip just to be sure. Although, you can usually trust Vibrant. If the VESA drivers don't work for you, you might just want to get a different video card. I've been real happy with the Stealth series, although the newest ones aren't supported either. It's very difficult for companies like Vibrant to keep up when new video boards keep popping up so quickly. I'd either get a new card or just be patient. Good luck. DM

Dear Dave, thank you for responding. It probable makes sense to change display adapters. In fact I am trying to decide between a Matrox Impression and a Stealth 64 Video. By the way, my Speedstar Pro does indeed have a CL 5429 on it, I pulled it out and looked at it. Sincerely Andy Bianca
