Hey Jonas… We have yet to recieve our invites for the Autodesk party at
siggraph. Who should I contact?

I'm checking into this thru our Direct Mail department. To the best of my
knowledge, the invitations dropped a couple of weeks ago. They were sent to
all registered 3D Studio customers. Please be aware, that if you have a "not
for resale" copy (evaluation, education, etc.), that you were not sent an
invitation. If you don't get an invitation before you leave for the show,
please bring some type of proof of purchase (not the lock) and we'll let you
(and one guest) in. We realize that there are glitches in the system — not
to worry! Also, if you have NOT registered, now is an excellent time to do so!

Well Ian, both you and I need to talk to Kathy Clinton "Autodesk Multimedia
Party Queen". I've been at Autodesk Product Support for 8 years and haven't
been to SIGGRAPH once!
Hey, count me in for someone who has never gotten an invite either. I feel sad.

Hi Dave,
Kathy Clinton was forwarded your message about the lack of SIGGRAPH invite.
There are so many people on this thread that we may have not sent the
invitations we thought we sent. We're checking into this.

In past years I got invitations and even gave it away last year because I
could not go. This year, NO invite (I like to be asked even when I cannot
accept <g>).
Oh yes, same address so that is not the problem.
I passed this thread over to Kathy Clinton's email.
Well Nik, just so you can add us to your list of people not recieving invites.
I leave tomorrow and to this date haven't received a single invitation. Kathy's
premise of "not-registered" just doesn't hold water. For the last several years
we've always gotten our invites and we're bombarded with upgrade notices, etc.
As to proof of purchase, I purchased our copies many years ago and don't have
the time or desire to pull invoices from that far back.
Plain and simply ….. I'm crashing the party! 🙂 I'll grab Gary for a hostage
if they try to throw me out.

I'm sorry – hopefully things will all get resolved at the door. We have
received too many reports that tickets didn't arrive that something must have
gone wrong. Kathy's got this message thread and will see what she can do.

FYI, we never received any either. We have 10 end-user registered copies,
you'd think that 1 or 2 might have made it!

Kathy Clinton was doing a background check on your nationality – I guess
someone had hinted about you being Canadian. She's got your email and knows
you're on the list of folks who haven't received tickets.
Sorry for the problem.
How about Europian users?
Are they going to be invited?
We have never received 7 or 8 invites we are entitled to.
(and, yes, we received them last year: long live Max Hoffman!)
And why evaluation copies are excluded?

Yes, it's quite a distinguished list! (Kathy Clinton's been forwarded this
thread to see if we can clear up this problem. We want this list of yours to
disappear!)

Add me to that list (although I don't consider myself worthy of such a
distinguished honor). We *may* have actually received an invite, but
procurement probably just filed it in that circular file <g>.

Gosh, y'all are starting to make me feel positively guiltly about getting an
(out of a potential 3) invite.

I'd think so too. Perhaps they have the Pyros copies on hold…? <grin>

not received any invite. Something is wrong.

Thanks for letting us know. I gave Kathy your email message and hopefully
we'll find out why so many people didn't get invitations, and fix the problem.
It should work out okay, according to Kathy.

FWIW, I've got 2 registered copies and MetroLight Studios has 5 – guess what?
….. no invite. I don't care. I'll sneak in.

It could be that ASOFT forum participants got into "3DS Party black list"
for the attempt to organize their own Party (e.g: Greg, you, Danny – nobody got
invited).
