Does anyone know if you need a TBC to capture video on the PVR? The PAR uses the TBC IV to capture video, which would stabilize the video. Does the capture card for the PVR require the signal to be time base corrected? Or does it correct the video signal. Is a TBC required or does it improve the quality? I'll probably be using a Sony SLV-R5 S-VHS deck for video input.

Tim, To do capturing with the PVR you do need a daughtercard add-on which includes a Time Base Corrector. Stop by the in:sync booth at siggraph and I will show you what a great job it does! Eron

Tim, You do not need an additional TBC to the one included on the TBC IV. Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates

Tim – The PVR requires a daughtercard (AD-2500) to perform video capture. This is available in NTSC format only at this time. PAL version is in the works.
