Need Help: 1) Which is the best add-on to 3DS for making trees and bushes ? They cost $$$ and I would like to know the best before buying. 2) How can I avoid the pattern repetition when I make large brick walls ? Thanks Fernando

Fernando, Schreiber Instruments ph# 303-759-1024 has a product called Image Nursery and is due out with a Nursery II sometime soon, not sure when. They also have a set of tools called Imagine Detailor which will do brick, stone and wood style fences. -Mike

Fernando, Yes, Imagine nursery is a good product for making trees and bushes. So is Yost Groups Disk #5 – Silicon Gardern. The trees and shrubs in YG's are more optimized and use for general landscaping purposes. If you need lots of detail then Schreibers Imagine Nursery would be better suited. If you don't want a brick map to tile as much you just need to use a bigger map. There are a host of CDs available that contain maps of bricks and other architectural images for 3D modeling. Texture univers is pretty good. If you need any more info. just ask. DM

Hi Dave and all others, my tip for brick walls is the texture-CD _GERMAN_BAUSTOFF_. Sure, it is a funny title, but cost about 200,- DM (nearly 150,- $) but all the textures are in good quality and they are tileable. Thanks for listening… (g) Claus
