#Networking

Anyone know anything about networking Amiga's and PC's? We very much
want to network Amiga's and PC's in peer to peer fashion if possible.
I need to need what hardware and software is necessary on the Amiga
and PC side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oxxy Software makes a product that will link Amigas with PC's using
Novell Netware. For the 1200's and 600's there is an ethernet PCMCIA
card called the I-Card. Contact SMG for more details. only 90 days
til spring! with Autopilot you can fly in any weather!
Try contacting InterWorks. They may have a TCP/IP solution soon or
be able to suggest some PC software that works with ENLAN-DFS.
In theory, AS225r2 can do peer-to-peer between Amigas and PCs. In
practice, AS225r2 is not available to the public, it's NFS server is
a kludge, and NFS servers for PCs are expensive and frequently
require a dedicated server. All other Amiga software that could
interoperate with PCs is client-only (in terms of filesystem
sharing).
If you are running Netware on the PC's, get Oxxi's ACS (Amiga Client
Software). It won't work with other Amiga networking protocols since
Oxxi has still not upgraded to SANA-II compatibility, but other than
that, you should be happy with it.
