Hi guys, I was making an animation of a cars suspension spring the other day compressing down and returning to it's orignal shape..(sounds easy) (ie 2D shape circle\3D lofter helix etc…) however when I squash it, the springs thickness (diameter) gets smaller in the middle ("necks down")…. So I used morph targets to overcome the problem, however I still get the same result???? I mean the animation looks fine…however I couldn't prevent this reduction in the spring diameter… I tried locking axis's & tried cont, bias etc…. Couldn't stop it any ideas? CU GH

Garry, << I mean the animation looks fine…however I couldn't prevent this reduction in the spring diameter… >> Just use Path/2D Scale in the 3D Lofter for the scaled down version of the spring and then morph the two togehter. Mark
