#ATI Mach 64

Thanks for the info. Sure has been a long time. Jim Greenberg called me last
week to say hi. I'm trying to work out a way to se him without going all the
way up to N.Y. city. Maybe you have some ideas of how I could see both of you
in Princeton sometime. It'd be nice to catch up on what's been going on.

Did that idea I gave you work? How's business? What are you working on? Are
you working with Frank? Jim's in Princeton fairly often, every Monday morning
I think. We could probably grab lunch or come by after work and we'll catch
him after he jumps off the train.

Bob,
I tried removing the power.exe from the config.sys files and it didn't make any
difference. I'll probably have to call ATI to find out what's going on. I
would think that somebody else here would have an ATI Mach 64, so maybe they'll
jump in.
As for what I'm doing these days, I'm currently working on a couple of video
animations for CoreStates bank renovations. They aren't very large spaces, but
they have a lot of details and knickknacks that they like to see .It keeps me
busy and it's more fun than doing C.D.'s,<g>
I haven't done anything with Frank since the beginning of the year. We were
working on the Circle F project in Trenton and just saw the same things
differently, so we went our own ways.
Let me know when Jim's going to be in Princeton. It's difficult for me to meet
after work hours, but lunch or breakfast would be great.

Just got back from SIGGRAPH, a successful trip. All of my major 3DS wishes
are going to be found in MAX and Lightscape is working on releasing their
radiosity/raytracing renderer next month.
Have you tried a progressive/selective rendering technique to see if it isn't
a particular mesh that is giving you problems with the transforming object
hang? By this I mean try hiding all but one of the objects and see if it still
hangs, if it doesn't then unhide a couple more, etc. until it hangs. With
selective hiding you may find that it is a mesh that is giving you trouble and
not the card. Sure, its a long shot but that's all I can think of other than
the power.exe thing.
