We are currently using V2 of 3DS and are about to change our network from DOS/Windows to NT Server and NT Workstation. I was wanting to know if this version will work ( I know we should be using a more recent version, but I don't make the decisions around here, only the research). If it will not work (this also means at an acceptable rate of speed ), what are my options and how much is it going to cost me. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi Gary, << R2 and NT..?>> There is a file fin the library that describes how some have gotten R4 to run under NT. The file can be found in…. File Info for 3DS4-NT.ZIP Section: HWare/OpSys/Video Contributor: 70303,1363 Size: 82424 Submitted: 6/24/95 Type: Binary Accesses: 196 Title: Running 3DS R4 Under Win NT 3.51 Keys: 3DS WIN NT DRIVERS This ZIP file contains instructions and Sentinel Pro lock drivers for running 3D Studio R4 under Windows NT 3.51. These instructions are not fully tested and are provided "as is". They DO NOT represent Autodesk support for running 3DS R4 under Win NT.

Jonas, << R2 and Windows NT >> I don't think it will work, because r2 never ran under Windows. Mark

NT and Version 2? Sorry, no. If you upgraded to R4, you could follow the directions mentioned in Jonas's "post" (3ds4-nt.zip in the hardware/opsys/video library). I am unable to tell you if it's going to be as fast to render.
