I'm trying to slog my way through the Animator Studio tutorial and I've run across the second werido problem. (the first being some extremely strange results when trying to add the splash to the diver avi.) I tried to do the scriptor example on pages 209-213, and when I attempt to preview by clicking the PLAY SCRIPT button the titles fly by and then my system locks up! a complete reboot is needed to free things. Is this a known problem? Is it fixed in the new release? I'm trying to love this program for an upcoming review for a computer mag, but so far I'm beginning to lose my enthusiasm. Also FWIW, why does entering Animator Studio make my digitizer (ACECAD D-9000) lose it's active size settings and revert to the whole tablet area? And why does this situation persist even after I leave AS and go on into other programs until I finally reboot? Come to think of it the reason I abandoned trying to work with Animator Pro was the flakeyness IT exhibited with the tablet as well. No matter which driver or settings I used. ( anything within an inch of the sides of the screen was reachable with the curser only after repeated passes) Anyone have some insight? Thanks Al

Dave My swap file is 60 meg with over 300 free on that drive. system resources are 55%. FWIW, funny, but the wintab driver bug doesn't show up in Corel, Photoshop, Fractal Painter, Fauve Matisse, MSOffice, Photostyler, Truespace, Adobe Premiere, Pagemaker, Quad Studio, Midisoft Studio, Cakewalk, etc. only in Anim Studio! What does AS do differently that brings this "bug" out from hiding? Al

"FWIW, funny, but the wintab driver bug doesn't show up in Corel, Photoshop, Fractal Painter, Fauve Matisse, MSOffice, Photostyler, Truespace, Adobe Premiere, Pagemaker, Quad Studio, Midisoft Studio, Cakewalk, etc. only in Anim Studio! What does AS do differently that brings this "bug" out from hiding?" From Brent Blackett – Acting Manager for AAStudio. We developed Animator Studio with the WACOM pressure sensitive tablet drivers, which work very well, especially with the pressure sensitivity. We are aware of the compatibility problem with the CalComp and plan to resolve it in a future version. -Brent Blackett

Nik Thats good. It makes me happy for the owners of Cal-Comp tablets. How about MY ACECAD D-9000 Non pressure sensitive straight ahead no fancy frills digitizer though? Al

" ACECAD D-9000 Non pressure sensitive…" I'll give your message to QA and ask them to check into this. Thanks

Hi Al, QA's comment on the ACECAD: "Animator Studio uses wintab. We do not have one of these in QA though this should work." How does this compare to your experience? Are you using ACECAD's Wintab driver? Does this work? Some people report that after AAStudio, the tablet's drawing area is reset.
