#COW MESH
8 messages in this thread
Does anyone know where I can find a reasonably, realistic cow mesh? Something I
could put bones in and use in an agricultural video piece.
Thanks, Terry
Have you checked out the cow on the World Creating toolkit?
I thinks it under Geometry\vendors\viewpoint.

I've seen a cow as part of the Bones-Pro example files available in the
library. It might do.

I think thats the same cow off the CD, but comes with pre-made bones.

Jason,
I looked up the cow on the WCT CD. It is the same one that's in the bones pro
example. I'm assuming you are talking about the one you use in the tutorial.
Rendering it straight off the CD lets me see the that the mesh is ok. I quess
it was that texture they used on it in the tutorial, that made it seem less
than adequate at first. Now, all I have to do is find a good texture for
it…and of course make it walk without twisting the bones 717 degrees in the Y
plane. Have you done much of this? I've had a little success by turning off the
movement to certain axis, depending of what view I am working from. Is this the
standard procedure for manipulating bones? Or is there some great puppeteer
trick that I know nothing about?
Thanks, Terry
Sorry, I only have the Bones Pro demo. So I wouldn't know much about animating
with it. Try posting another message in the IPAS usage section.

Jason,
Ok, how about some clues as to how to get images, textures etc. from the WCT or
Texture Universe into the materials editor. I just keep getting, "Invalid File
Extension".
Terry
Jason,
Nevermind, I think I figured it out. Got to change the map paths in config.
