Camera/Receive Shadow ?
3 messages in this thread
Well, forget what I said about copied keys. It doesn't have anything to do
with that. It does, however, seem to have to do with the relative size of the
object in the field of view of the camera. If I scale the object so that it is
smaller in the frame (*not* further away) or if I dolly back so that it is
smaller in the frame the shadow disappears. Any ideas whats going on?

Jeffrey,
My first impression is that you're turning Receive Shadows off on the wrong
object. Try hiding the object that's giving you trouble, and making a new one
in its place and seeing if that receives shadows.
You can always try just making the object over again.
You didn't, by chance, bring this model in from AutoCAD?

I went one better… I started a new project and just used an Lsphere to
cast the shadow and a box to receive. Same result. I'm not sure whats going on
here. I'm really stumped. I thought maybe it was lack of sleep but I got a full
4 hrs last night and that dang shadow is still there. I do have a project file
set up with 2 cameras, one spot, and the 2 objects zipped and ready to go if
anyone is willing to take a look see and maybe relieve my pain.
