#AniStudio & #9gxe

Is there any plans to fix the incompatability with Ani Studio and the Number
Nine GXE card? I really want to buy the program. Looked beautiful at SIGGRAPH!
I know it's an old card – over a year old <g> but I feel it's premature to
replace it so soon ( not to mention I'm on a shoe string budget ) .Would an NT
version by nature be more stable as far as graphics go than Windoze? TIA. BTW,
great party Tues. night!

WOW, I'm flattered <g>. I'm not a sysop though, although I do try to help
help now and then.
Ya, I think an NT version of Ani Studio would be a great idea. NT just
seems to behave so well… very stable. Sorry, but I can't really help with
the Number Nine GXE card, maybe some one else here will know.

I'll say! What a great atmosphere with all those 3DSers. All but that
drink line <g>

How bizzarre! Somehow your ID got put in the address.
It must be that I wanted to say congrates on Virtuosity. As a reletive newcomer
to this forum( 1year), it's been my life link to 3D animation and the industry
in general. My niche market being video and cable, I don't run across the big
spender clients, but it always inspires me to see work such as yours and the
others on this forum 🙂
After a rough year trying to turn my part time hobby ( addiction <g>) into a
full time business, I was relieved to meet so many others at the party who have
done it.
BTW, the message was passed on to the powers that be. Thanks!

Thanks Bill!

This forum has been invaluable to me and my business and in striving to be
the best I can be in this crazy 3D world.

I started out doing this for fun… and I really don't know when it quit
being a hobby and became a business. I still have too much fun and recieve
too much gratification from the 3D animation business to say that it's lost
its fun/hobby feel. I hope I never do loose it.

I use the #9GXE card and insofar as AniStudio works at all, it could be said to
work with this card.

I should elaborate. I have the #9GXE PCI ( 3meg ) in a Dell XPS P60. Number
Nine has since told me that my card was made specificely for the XPS. It was
part of their race to be one of the first PCI venders. It was bundled with the
Dell. Is yours an XPS by chance?

I have #9GXE 4Meg in Dell XPS P100.

Hmm… might be a different configuration in that card. I passed it on toNumber
Nine. They're looking into a fix of some sort. My fingers are crossed…
Thanks again.
