Literature from Omnicomp arrived describing the 3Demon, for the most part.
The picture shows two connectors on the end of the card. After looking and
looking, I could find *NO* mention of the connectors or their funstions. It
looks like they make two models, the SX44 and the SX88.
The 3Demon comes in three models:
SX44
SX48
SX88
Per Omnicomp, the card has an analoge connector as well as a standard video
connection. That is most likely the extra connector you saw.

I sit corrected and notice the third on the data sheet (now).
On the list of supported APIs and Libraries is Reality Lab from
Rendermorphics (recently purchased by Microsoft).
But do you know what 3DR from Intel is? This one is not familiar to me at
all. Makes me curious.

Not a clue. I'm just now getting into more advanced hardware, so I'm going
back through all my old computer magazines and catching up on all the expensive
goodies that I pretty much ignored in the past.
If I come up with any explanation of what 3DR is, I'll send you a message.
As far as Glint cards go, I've seen several messages in the forum that say MAX
runs pretty fast on standard hardware, so I'm holding off on spending the 2K
one of these boards cost until I see how the final product runs on MY machine.
The cost of the SX88 would buyme another 64 Mb of RAM, and that seems like a
better use of my money. I spend MUCH more time waiting for disk swapping on
large renders than I do waiting for the screen to redraw.

The Omnicomp boards need a separate VGA card for the computer to boot up. So
the second connector is the VGA pass through.
