artist, but not much tech experience. need to convert anipro to a video.
great loss of quality in attempts so far. color bleached and detail minimal.
bought studio, but no experience, that program any help?

our first introductory attempt (years ago) to get AniPro output to video was
through a Targa+ 32 card (which came with AniPro drivers. worked great for
basic stuff, plenty of tweaks in the software for gamma and color correction,
even make chromacolor and screen capture possible.

how do i acquire a 32 card with anipro drivers? i have a 486DX50 with 16 megs
ram. video card VGA CIRRUS GD5426 V 1.4. setting 640x480x 256. am i already
equipped?

Edward, to convert a FLC file to a sequence of TGA files, simply load the POCO
program NUMPIC, use save Flic as Pics, for a filename use something like
TEST0001 for a filename and when prompted, select Targa. bingo.

I have imported the FLC into Video Post and rendered it as sequential Targa
files as a background. The quality of the image is much better than using
POCO's flc to tga but it uses quite a bit more disk space (and render time).

If you're concerned about disk space, I'd suggest you render to .jpg for
background stuff. You'll keep your 24-bit color and save lots of space.
Experiment with the compression ratio to balance quality vs. disk space
requirements.

to be expected. flc is 8-bit data instead of truecolor, for one thing. 🙂
