This year's SigGraph was truly an incredible experience. First off, I would
just like to say how good it was to meet many of you. I agree with Alan in
that the 3DS community is unique. The AMMEDIA (aka ASOFT) party was a blast.
It really is too bad that an event like that only happens once a year.
Congratulations to the Yost Group!!! You guys have put together an incredible
program and are going to be blowing people out of the water left and right.
The design and feel of MAX is going to let everyone's creativity flow smoothly.
3D modeling and animation as we know it in 3DS is gone…. to take a quote from
SpaceBalls "….they've gone directly to PLAID!!!" <g>
On a separate note I would like to thank Jamie Carr for taking the time to give
an in depth demo of Speed Razor, and to all those who haven't seen a 300mhz
Alpha at work, all I can say is WOOOOOOW!
I am looking forward to '96 in New Orleans. Pat O'Brian's here we come…<g>

Too bad you didn't get in to see the simulation ride at Universal City Walk.
It was the Cosmic Pinball animation shown in the Sig reel. I thought that it
was great to begin with but add motion and it was incredible.

Hey Andrew, It was nice to meet you (and so many others) at Siggraph, and
the ASOFT party. Come to think of it didn't I run into you at City Walk
very late at night? <g>
WOW, that band was something else! I still don't quite know what to think
of them. Dred Zepplin?

The Elvis lead singer was a trip. They were actually pretty good though. Too
bad we didn't show up until the last couple of songs. We were wondering around
CityWalk until the wee hours of the morning and Gino and I headed straight to
the airport from there. It was a very long ride home. <g>

So, you saw the Pin Ball motion control ride, cool. We saw the last Devils
Trainride show and was told to come back for that. Was way past my bedtime

During the set "Tortelvis" fielded questions from the audience. My wife asked
the drummer if he would take off his shorts. He looked like he was going to,
but didn't. <g>
What a laugh. Best gig I've been to in recent memory. Me and the wife were
right at the front and center – in the "pit".
