#ANIMATION IN GENERAL
9 messages in this thread
AFTER SPENDING 3 YEARS WITH MY FAVOURATE SOFTWARE, AND ONLY NOW ENTERING THE
FORUM, I FIND THE LEVEL OF ANIMATION SO BAD IT GIVES ME HOPE,(LETS FACE IT, 80%
OF THIS SHOW CASE IS SO BAD,
IT GIVES ME BAD DREAMS.
ANY SERIOUS USER PLEASE JOIN ME, IN WORK OR PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Laurie –
Well that was quite an introduction!! Fairly rare for someone to join and then
type in all caps that "the level of animation here is so bad that it gives you
bad dreams" (all caps is considered shouting and bad form).
Instead why don't you offer some constructive criticism or show how you do
things better. That will give you a lot more positive feedback when you put up
some examples of your work for all to see. You will post your superior work of
course ??? For all to view??
Hope your stay here in AMMEDIA and ASHOWCASE is a constructive one and that you
can join in the give and take on software in a postive or teaching manner.
Lots of world class animators here to learn from.
Anne
Anne,
I took a look at the message about "bad animation." It would seem that
someone so much better at animation than 80% of the people on this forum should
show her work and tell us how it is all supposed to be done.
I wonder if this person earns her living from animation?
Curious,
Sanford
FYI Lourie,
There are many Pros on this forum. Many of their work will blow you away. The
stuff you see here is mostly to demonstrate or direct others to use an IPAS or
an effect (usually something simple). And there are bad animations and new
animators as well (they don't shout), but all are focused in a positive way.
Many are new to animation and display their work to get some in-put from other
experienced users. Anne is right why don't you display your work here so that I
can learn more or just go back to your so called "favorite software".
I can only speak for myself. Some of my work is broadcasting as I write this
message and none of them are here in the forum to see, but if someone wanted to
learn, I would upload a simplified version of it so my message gets across to
them.

Hi Laurie,
I'll continue to swap some mail with you. There are lots of wanna-bee's here
but there are a few World-Class animators present. Their work can be seen in
films
such as Johnny Nmonic, Virtuoscity, and games like Rebel Assault and the 7th
Guest. Where are you located????

Laurie,
There might be some not so good animations in this forum, but to make most of
the best animations are way too huge to send over the modem. I have one that's
over 100 meg and split into 5 parts. So, let's see what you can do with 3DS and
a 14400…

Wow! Did your karma run over your dogma? :')
Enjoy life and keep that positive outlook!

Good one!
Laurie –
Your library file uploaded to ASHOWCASE Forum needed a bit of description
rewriting which I took the liberty of doing so that the file could go public as
soon as possible. I changed it from ANNE.GIF to CAMPBELL.GIF and added that it
was done with 3DS as we require the Autodesk products used to be mentioned.
Below is the file description as it looks now. Let me know if you want any
changes or additions.
The work is excellent and unusual. The writers and developers of many of
Autodesks 3D programs and manuals hang out here so know you will enjoy
interacting with them.
