I bought the modem in an "IBM pc-package" and the cable could be different.

Call Supra and ask about the serial cable they specifically supply. I seem to
recall that it activated more pins than the typical plain-vanilla IBM serial
cable. I'd imagine other suppliers could make up a cable identical to the
Supra's.
