Hi Ron > The Amiga serial port is identical to the IBM port, but in order to handle > certain jobs like distinctive ringing the modem needs the special cable. This can be the simple clue! I bought the modem in an "IBM pc-package" and the cable could be different. Thank you – I'll try it out. Ernst >=====on AutoPilot_1.80 [what else?] for AMIGA—–> from Europe/Austria/Vienna

Call Supra and ask about the serial cable they specifically supply. I seem to recall that it activated more pins than the typical plain-vanilla IBM serial cable. I'd imagine other suppliers could make up a cable identical to the Supra's. — from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, via Amiga AUTOPILOT v1.80 [the only way to fly cyberspace]
