Hi Ernst, Sorry about the delay in replying, I had a full evening yesterday so I only had time to download my messages. Sorry too if I gave the impression that I hadn't tried the scripts you sent me. They didn't solve the problem so I had tried modifications and finally re-installing everything. This created the Startnet that I pasted into the message. I've found the problem! In my dialscript I had mistyped my User-ID so CIS was rejecting the logon. Since ppp returned an error (it would time-out), AmiTCP wasn't started. After correcting the dialscript everything starts up correctly and I am able to run Mosaic. At last I surf! Thanks so much for your help. I wouldn't have got there by myself.
