I'm trying to get some art work ready for the Bit.Movie 94' contest. The recommended picture resolution is 1024 X 683 pixels. I can understand the 1024 but what is 683 a multiple of ? Print or video resolution ??

Somebody always sends me the contest rules/entry info. – it even followed me up here ! Bit.Movie '94, c/o Carlo Mainardi via Bologna 13, 47036 Riccione, Italy. I have a Fax and Italian BBS no. as well. The entry deadline is Jan 31st. The prizes aren't much: 300,000 Lira. There is also an animation category.

300,000 Lira? That's about $.50, right? :^) Sounds like it wouldn't even cover postage costs…. Thanks anyway, Keep On Toastin' Erik Flom

Not sure we got it correct but it is like $170.00. They publish your stuff in a catalog. Think of all of the fame and fortune !

Yeah, I just think of all the job opportunities I'll get from an Italian based design mag! :^) I wouldn't want to steal your thunder. I'll let you submit something and take home the honors. :^) Keep On Toastin' Erik Flom

Margaret and Erik, That contest may be related to the one in which an Aussie bloke won an Animation contest with an Imagine anim. This was shown at WOC in Sydney last year and was very well done. Laurie Carroll AKL NZ Longdistance Autopilot
