I got the AMI-BACK-TOOLS, and it worked the way I was hoping it would. I would
have liked to try the RE-ORG, but could find it nowhere. The AMI-BACK seems
sufficient.

Thanks Steve! I did find it there the other day, but have a rather dumb
problem…
I use my PC for Compuserve, all my Amigas are hooked into Midi devices, in
other words, no terminal access. Do you know of anyway to download an Amiga
program on a PC, then get it to work on the Amiga later?
Since Amiga-OS 2.04 a commodity called CrossDOS is included with all Amigas.
This enables you to use floppy disks with MS-DOS format (if you have a HD
floppy drive, even 1.44MB MS-DOS floppies). Using this you can just download
your stuff with the PC, save to floppy, carry the disk to your Amiga and go on
from there.

Assuming you have either OS 2.1 (or higher) or a copy of Cross-dos, this
would be a fairly easy thing to do. D/load it to your PC. Format a disk in
your Amiga to MSDos format, walk the disk over to your PC and copy the file
onto it. Then you can walk it back, copy it into your Amiga and de-archive it.
Should work!
