yes, he had – every number over 100000,xxxx is outside the US as far as I could
make out…

There are now 100…. numbers issued to people within the U.S. I came across
one a couple of months ago.

the 75 and 76XXXXxXXXx no's are middle america,western
america,canada,germany,or mexico no's
Not so, Christian. CIS seems to have run out of 7xxxxx numbers. Most of the
100xxx numbers are outside the US, but new members in the US and Canada are now
getting 102xxx numbers.

_Maybe_ outside the US, but not outside North America. New Canadian members
are now being given 1xyzabc,xyza numbers. Might be so with new US members,
too.

Exactly. From what I understand, Compuserve has just about run out of
the 7xxxx series of IDs, though, I believe they recycle them. As a CB
helper, it used to be convenient to see a 1xxxxx series ID and know the
person was in Europe. Doesn't work anymore. <Sigh>
