Sorry for have upset you,
My reliabel source happens to be 'Herr Dellert' chief of the European AMIGA
Repair Center in Germany and the technical staff of GVP Germany…
Why would they lei to me.??? If these people are not reliabel enough for you,
you may forget what i said.
BTW since I reworked my 3 Amiga's 3000 ( with GVP 040 ) they run 24 hrs a day
in a network with no lockups… I am happy to here that your Amiga works fine,
hope that Robert's machine wil soon work fine too…..

Oh, I'm not upset.
The sucker who runs out and buys 3.1, thinking all his GVP problems will
be solved might be, though…..}:^)
GVP Gemany might be a reliable source, but I _rarely_ found the US tech
support to be 'reliable'.
And, I'm sure 3.1 fixes alot of system bugs, resulting in a reliable
system.
However, it has always been GVP's appearant policy to deny responsibility
for any problems people have with their hardware.
Glad your systems are working….
Even if it did cost a few hundred more than you'd thought, eh? ;^)

I have a 3000T with *all* the latest chips and 3.1 It will still crash from
time to time. Reverting back to the 68030 is 100% reliable. I would say the GVP
040 is about 97% reliable. If I avoid certain programs, it is fine. Those
programs do run on my 2000 with GVP 040 however (also WB 3.1).

Hi Peter!
Could you list some of those programs. My GVP040 works great in A3000
with the original chips and 2.04 Roms most of the time. But as soon as I try
and render some frames in Imagine2.0,3.0,etc.. and Lightwave3.5 or I copy alot
of files at one time, it will eventually lock up and sometimes I have to
Validate my hardrrive with DiskSalv3 or something.
