#I am lost
7 messages in this thread
Hello everybody!
I need some help from english speaking people either in USA, England or
Australia.
As I like Digital Aesthetics, from Greg Grove, I decided to register and to
order more modules. As the adress was
G. G.
PO Box 4361
Sun River
OR 97707-1361 (no country mentionned)
I decided to send order and payment to the USA. Got no answer, twice (I
said I liked the software ;-)). Only the third time, when I sent it "receipt
requested" the USA post administration admitted they did not know anybody with
tis adress!!! As I sent mony in the letters the first two times, and as I did
not get them back, I hope these shareware fees made someone happy in the US
post administration. Where has gone the money sent by postal order the third
time, I don't know.
No matter anyway! I really like this shareware (I think everybody got it now
<;^) ) but I think that 4 times the shareware fee will be enough. So I hope
somebody knows Greg Grove, and can tell me his adress. Or could somebody tell
me if such an adress is in USA, in GB, in Australia or God knows where in the
world.
Thank you for your help.

Panchard,
The address is in Sun River Origon, USA. I do not know if the PO Box 4361 is
correct or not. Or what happend to your money. Try writting to the "Post Master
General" about your money.
Write to: Post Master General
Washington D.C.
USA
Who knows, you may just get lucky. It's worth a try.

Your close, it's "Oregon", not Origon <g>.

I'm glad you like Greg Grove's software and I wish I could help you find
him, but the most I can do is tell you that address was in the US, in the state
of Oregon.
I hope that someone else knows where Greg is or even if the program is still
supported! I must say that paying the shareware fee three times is at least
two times more than I would have tried! You're nothing if not persistant!
<grin>
P.S. We have a full name policy in these forums. Please go to any forum
prompt and type OPTIONS. From there it should be self-expanitory as to how to
proceed. Be sure to make the changes permenant before leaving that area. If
you have problems Betty Clay would be happy to help you out. Thanks!

An Oregon address in the USA. Because it was PO Box (Post Office Box) it could
belong to someone else. POB's are rented out in weekly, monthly, and yearly
segments.

If an address (or the user of a post office box) changes, the new resident is
supposed to mark any mis-addressed mail as undeliverable and return it to the
post office.
Sadly, many recipients just throw such material in the garbage. Your money
may not have been taken .. it might well have just been thrown away!
The suggestion of writing the US Postmaster General is a good one. This will
trigger an enquiry from the postal authorities, and *possibly* you might find
out what happened.
That's one of the problems with small software houses, and shareware. The
material often comes from people who move a lot (students?) and it can become
difficult to track them down. This is especially vexing when you have
"crippled" shareware, in which case you would have sent money and still have
only a package of limited usefulness. (No suggestion that this is true of the
Greg Grove package).
