Okay, here goes,IF the motherboard is a rev 4.3, 4.4 or 4.5, the A2000 ALONE is worth $250 (including mouse keyboard and 3.5" disk drive) in good working condition. For a Rev 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 $200 If it has been upgraded to 1 Meg chip RAM add $30 (for the 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, haven't seen much price difference between rev 4.4 1/2 meg and rev 4.4 1 meg chip RAM, I think rev 4.5 is a 1 meg chip) If it isthe OS is ROM 2.1 and OS 2.1, add $50, if you have 1.3 AND 2.1 with a ROM switch, add $20 If the HD Controller is a 2090A, you can get $20, but most people consider it worthless, same for a nonworking hard drive The bridgeboard is practically worthless, you may get 20-$30 The monitor, in good working order is $100-$150 Oh, I see looking over your message, it is 1.3 Software, some games and some utility programs are worth money, you may wish to bundle them free to encourage selling the whole system as a unit. Here's what I'd do : Adverstise : A2000, 1.3, monitor, keyboard, mouse 1 Floppy, monitor, $450 (if it is 1 Meg Chip add $30, if it is ECS add $30), ALSO included : Software (LIST Some of the impressive ones), manuals (What ever manuals for AmigaDOS or the impressive software), 8088 bridgeboard with 5.25" floppy, HD Controller and HD (Condition unknown) Asking price for the total system is $450 – $500 depending on condition , motherboard rev, chip ram, ECS or regular chipset, could be as low as $300. SCRAP price for your system (NOTHING works) is about $200, but it sounds like $400 to $500 is more realistic. Finally, selling via Compuserve or mail : Try to sell it local, shipping a computer is bad enough, but packing and shipping a monitor is really rough, unless you have a monitor box with packing material. UPS won't insure electronics unless you have the original boxes. Shipping a computer and monitor is expensive enough that with COD someone might be looking at $100 shipping charges. My advice, is try to sell it local, try local BBSs, or spend $15 in a local "Trading Times" or whatever you have where you are. Advertise a bonus on Compuserve (don't bother with the classifieds sections, waste of money for Amiga equip) for anyone who wants to pick it up : $400 local, $500 plus COD and shipping elsewhere Add a bonus for prepaid (i.e: They send you a check, you cash it and then ship) : $475 prepaid includes shipping, $500 plus shipping and COD charges otherwise. Finally, if you want cash, lowball, ($400 plus shipping and COD, $375 incl shipping prepaid, $350 for local pickup) and you will probably sell the system overnight (That is a real cutthroat price) One final (AGAIN !!) note : Resist breaking up the package, if you sell JUST the cpu or monitor, you will probably be stuck miscellaneous parts for ever GOOD LUCK
