#Corel Import to Amiga?

Does anyone know of a commercial or PD application that will allow the import
of .CMX files (Corel Draw format) into an Amiga useable format (eps, iff,
Framestore, JPEG…)?

well you may try using the shase internet site….to look for such a file…i
know of none…
As far as I know COREL files are not described anywhere. For a while they
(Corel) where buying their compression method from a company call LeadTools so
not even Corel knew how to do their own files. LeadTools does not make their
image manipulation software available for the Amiga so I do not think is
possible, but I could be wrong and someone might of reverse engineer their
format.

I have imported Coral files into my Amiga in a round about way. You require a
PC with Coral draw and you use Coral to export its image in EPS or whatever
format you want. Compress it using pkzip (or some other program that is
available on the amiga) copy it to a floppy thransfer it to your Amiga and use
UnZip on the Amiga to extract your EPS file. You could also connect your Amiga
to the PC (there is software that allows this) and you would not have to worry
about compressing the file.
Like I said its a round about way and definatly not ideal but it works.

We use a variety of Mac/PC image convertors – the two big ones are DeBabelizer
and ULead ImagePals (which is also a great thumbnail cataloguer). I haven't
tried to convert CorelDraw to Amiga. I never had to before. I often use
DeBabelizer to convert anything to ILBM;IFF for Toaster use. If you need to
convert things often, either one of these programs is a worthwhile investment.
I'll take a look to see which one gives the best conversion and get back to
you.

Thanks. That would be great. I've got CDRom (Corel Art Pac 2 or something
like that) with fonts and clip art. The fonts I can pick up directly off the
CDRom and have used several of the in the Toaster. The clip-art I can't get
to. Information about those two programs would be much appreciated.
Does Debalizer have a PC/Windows version? Is HiJack still in development?
