#VistaPro Manual

I've come across a copy of VistaPro 881, but unfortunatly it has no manual. If
anyone out there has a manual the want to sell or donate, I'd really appreciate
it. The disk contains ..TerraForm..ScapeMaker..VistaPro.881 and MakePath.881.

Don't forget that all of those programs are commercial copyrighted
programs and using an unauthorized copy could place you at risk of prosecution.
In order to sell or trade those programs, the complete product with manual and
original disks would have to be included.

Hey, I'm not into pirated software. A friend, who no longer uses the program,
gave it to me but he could not find the manual.

The way in which you described it was that you had a disk with VistaPro,
TerraForm, ScapeMaker, etc on it, which is certainly not the way it was
shipped. Unless you have the original disks, you have a copy, which is not
legitimate. We will be happy to send you a manual disk if you can prove that
you have the original disks.

Well, I don't know. This friend just gave me the disk and I figured it was
legit. The program looks very interesting and I would love to get more
aquainted with it. I guess he wasn't doing me any favors. Sorry…if these
are not the origanal disks then there's is no way I can prove they are.

It should be pretty obvious if they are the original disks, the labels
are professionally printed and carry "Produced under exclusive license by
Virtual Reality Laboratories, Inc." Sending us a xerox of the Program Disk
label is sufficient proof.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm grilling you, but I spent two years workign
on VistaPro and VistaLite and my earnings for the two programs were far below
minimum wage for the period, so I tend to take it personally when copies of the
programs start floating around.

price nowadays anyway?

I have Vista Pro 3.0 is there any way to get to work with the Picasso II card?
Very nice program and I may eventually get the dos cdrom version.

I think that the problem with the current version and the Picasso is with
Graphics.library. At the time that VP was last updated, there was no reliable
test for the AGA chipset, so I tested for library versions greater than or
equal to 39. This was supposed to be "safe" as Commodore (at the time) had no
plans for an updated AmigaDOS for non-AGA machines. Since then, several board
makers have created their own libraries with version numbers greater than 39
which VistaPro thinks indicates the presence of AGA and it tries to open AGA
style screens. The version that I am working on (3.1) fixes the problem by
correctly detecting the presence of the AGA chips rather than checking the
library version, however this is still pre-beta with many features not working.
I am hoping to have it together and tested by early November (may be
optimistic). This version will also directly support the Picasso boards. An
Amiga CD version is also planned.

Clint: I hope you will support boards that are using the CyberGraphX software
as well. Quite a few people, including myself, are using this software for
their graphics cards. Seems to do very well as somewhat of a standard, and I
would sure like to see VistaPro support. Hope you will keep this under
consideration!

I will look into it for 4.0. I doubt that I will be able to squeeze it in
for 3.1 as I am already pressed for time. I am trying to hit mid November for
release and I'm not quite sure where I'll get the time for all that I already
have planned.

That is a pity for me as I am about to receive a Cybervision board. I guess my
copy of VistaPro v3.05 is not going to work any more. Is there a workaround for
this at all. Would a second monitor using the AGA chips on the Amiga video out
port work?
