If your running WinDoze, Paint Shop Pro is one of the best PC Shareware programs around for viewing virtually every 'popular' picture format around (yes, even standard IFF) and you can convert any file it reads to any of the formats it supports(PSP v2 is available in the PC Forums). Although, I've only had limited success in creating IFF files. It also has some handy editing function for croping, adjusting color depth, color adjustment …. (no I do not own an interest in the product, I just find it *extreemly* useful and easy to use). And best of all, it blows the doors off of *any* commercial PC product out there, including Paint Brush, for speed and memory (non)usage. I've loaded 2M files in about half a minute on my 486/33 at work when I didn't have enough resources to display the Windoze task list!! Although, PSP does not have any painting functions, for you shareware $, you can't do any better for a picture cropper/scaler/converter. Any every version just keeps getting better! I only wish I could find a similar utility for AmigaDOS. As you can tell, when I like product, I let it be know. Gary – via AutoPilot 1.80 Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

i prefer photofinish/painbrush/vidvue combo for windows on my pentium 90 w 8 megs of ram…and cshow for dos….for my file viewing needs…i like os2 but it's too slow with all those tasks running about…enough to drive you mad….windows blazes by at most apps except printing and disk intensive activites compared to os2…

>>i prefer photofinish/painbrush/vidvue combo for windows All very fine programs for what they do, but, I have yet to find *any* app that can even come close to Paint Shop Pro v2 for basic speed, economics of memory and ease of use. Sure, it's not a paint program, but, for 'bang for your buck', it's great. Gary – via AutoPilot 1.80 – Internet GSumlak1@ISMA.COM Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
