I have a Gateway with an ATI ultra Pro. I used the ati64fix.exe file to try and
get rid pf the 45-50 second delay time booting 3ds3. I followed the directions
and put the ati1ws.com in the root directory and added ati1ws.com to the
autoexec.bat. It corrupted the driver and also the program. Does this
ati64fix.exe really work and how do I load it correctly?
I've never heard of this program before. There is a file callled ANTIVE.ZIP in
HWare/OpSys (lib 6) which contains a program that will disable the VESA calls
to the ATI Mach64 cards. It sounds like what you are trying to do, and it
works on my system <g>.
