Martin, this question is very…. braod. it's kinda like asking if anyone has a
model of the entire known universe. could you be more specific? downtown area?
buildings and streets? archinfo demograghic modeling data, cogobases? what?

Maybe just some clouds is all that's needed… (running away we go…) <g>

nah… that's the Seattle mesh. <ggg>
actually i take that back… simple background/atmosphere set to grey would
work for that. <gg>

Your right Dave. I'm interested in the type of model Donald Newlands created of
downtown Portland (and yes Im trying to reach him). Primarily the west side
downtown area and its bridges (Broadway, Freemont, etc.). I've been seeing some
pretty complete downtown models show up in the files area (i.e. LA). Was just
wondering if anyone wants to share meshes, models, etc.
p.s. if you know of anyone who has a model of the entire known universe I would
be keenly interested.
Cheers

okay. best wishes with reaching him. and yes, amny downtown models are
"surfacing". the available cogo base from the USGS is getting quite impressive
too.

Martin,

Yes, his name is Donald Newlands (CIS 73170-3216). I'm not sure of the
status of the model, as far as public use, etc. You can e-mail him if you'd
like. He's in the process of moving, so he's pretty busy right now. I've been
waiting to hear from him since SIGGRAPH. 🙂
