Hello ! I want to upload a lot of files in IPAS section of AUTODESK forum, I have already uploaded one but without seeing it in the forum. Is there somebody to tall with (a moderator or else) for this forum ? Please let me know ! In a few weeks there will be really plenty of files coming from me and concerning Key Factory and new IPAS from me. I was really pleased to meet you and your wife in SIGGRAPH Thank you for any answer.

>> Is there somebody to tall with (a moderator or else) for this forum ? << Forum Assistants and Sysops review most every message in the forum, so your message has been seen (I'm an FA). It usually takes at least 24 hours for files to be merged into the libraries. If you have private questions for a sysop, address your message to "*SYSOP". – Dave

Hello ! Thank you for the information. I will try to upload at least one 3DS file example made with Key Factory (one of my IPAS) a week Bye

Serge – Your files uploaded to any Compuserve library don't appear at once. They have to be reviewed to be sure they came through in full, are virus free, and work. I also check the keywords and title to be sure they match the file and then release them to public view. We have opened a companion forum ASHOWCASE for most library uploads. Please upload example files there unless it is a new example you have just developed or it is new information on an IPAS routine. Unfortunately this library is at capacity and we ask that a lot of the files go to ASHOWCASE. New IPAS routines and information on them would go in this AMMEDIA IPAS library. I moved the RAMP3.ZIP file containing a 3DS file to ASHOWCASE this morning. I announce in both forums new files each morning. Anne

>> I announce in both forums new files each morning. Anne, I have not seen these new file announcements, at least not in recent months like they used to be posted. Maybe I'm not monitoring that particular section? Where are these posted? Ralph

<< Where are these posted? >> >> Index and Info. Thanks Jonas and Anne. I'll go ahead and include that section in my daily ritual. <g>

Ralph – The daily library announcements are in Section 8, Index and Information and are listed like: Library AMMEDIA 8/23 and Library ASHOWCASE 8/23 so members can download both, either or neither! Anne

Hello ! All the files I will upload are 3DS files, FLI files (virus-free) or Freeware IPAS software (never seen a virus in an IPAS module before…). All theses files concern a new IPAS product made by myself and named Key Factory. (announced in L.A. SIGGRAPH and sold by 4DVision). I want to upload theses examples to help my customers. Most of the 'physics' effects in theses files have never be seen before in any other 3DS animation (far too difficult to do this by hand…). Please, can you put theses files in the IPAS section of AMMEDIA forum (along with most other examples files from other IPAS products) ? Thank you very much !

>> I want to upload theses examples to help my customers << I don't use KF but I think that what you are doing is great!!! I hope the other authors see what you are doing and realize the added value that your efforts gives your product and follow suit. More examples are always better! Way'ta'go dude! – ej

Hello ! KF is a whole new world for 3D Studio users. This is (to my knowledge) one of the biggest IPAS ever made (600KB code, 3MB source, 1 year to do, 200 differents parameters = a billion possible effects) By uploading one example a week I will need 10 Years to explain all the features. Starting now. Bye !

I own Key Factory — are these examples going to be the actual parameters, etc. so we can do the stuff ourselves? Or are they just animations? If they're just going to be animations, perhaps you could also upload a text file explaining what parameters you used, or maybe just a general way of going about it. I like KF a lot, but don't have the time to experiment (and, yes, I've been through all the tutorials in the manual — however, I get the impression there's still a lot I can do I just can't imagine!).

Hello ! I'm not trying to do full support of Key Factory on Compuserve. There are some nice guys at SCHREIBER's / 4DVision that are devoted to do this support along with teaching, etc… All examples posted to CIS will have Set Parameters save inside and will be compatible with KF release 1.81 (The last one). The goal for me is to show some features and to let all buyers of KF use them directly. Since one good way to do more complex examples is to load one previous file, to check the Set and Object parameters, and them to start modifying everything 'One by One'… Have fun with Key Factory !

Serge – Thanks for the helpful background on the files you will be uploading. I look forward to seeing them and will keep them in the IPAS section of this forum. I moved RAMP3.ZIP back over yesterday from ASHOWCASE (where I had moved it). Anne

Serge – Jonas asked that your file be moved back to the AMMEDIA forum so it has been done and will be available after 3AM tonight. See the other message I've already posted you. Anne

We just never ran into each other I guess. I did most of the reviews in the book on your products. It would have been nice to meet the person who did them. Is looks like the moderator/sysop has told you about the propagation delays on uploaded files. Keep'em coming. Terry Gilbert Forcade & Associates

Hello ! The only complaint I have against IPAS Plug-in book is that nowhere (excepted in some screens shots) the reader can see my name. I have made 27 differents IPAS described in your book, since this is the World record (and I have worked hard to do it) I really will be pleased if in a next release of the book you can give some credit to the maker of theses IPAS. SCHREIBER (now 4DVision) made the manuals, beta-testing and is selling theses packages worldwide. All of theses IPAS where made ONLY (my cat didn't help) by myself. In Key Factory, for example, I have not re-used any code to do the fast 3D preview… I suggest also that you take care of all the 'Free Toys' IPAS I will upload on CIS. Theses useful pieces of software will give FREE a whole bunch of features. Have you received the release 1.81 of Key Factory ? Thank you for any answer… Serge
