LOL, ROFL, 🙂
I knew it was some thing simple..
Thanks Mike you have saved me reading the entire Ref manual agian,
I'll name one of the runabouts after you and your CIS Number and post it to you
and the ASHOWCASE Forum.
Thanks agian
matt n greg 🙂
Runabout Builders who feel really silly!
Greg,
Are you lofting these as loft stations like you would built a set of frames in
a boat using Deform Fit? If so, are you trying to show planking? Sounds like a
cool job.
Good luck and glad to help.
-Mike
Deform, lofts, maps, decals etc, I've used every method availble to make it,
at one point there was 80,000+ faces and 700+ objects, since then with the
Boo-leaner I've scaled it down some what.
Joke is, DS9 (Which I have also worked hard on) on has 20,000 more faces than
the Runabout :), the still is called Morgans hawk, it should be in the SCI-FI
media forum under Picture Gallery and in the Ashowcase forum under New Files
now…
Let me know what you think,
P.S. I had spent 5 hours trying to solve that problem and had forgot all about
welding the flipping vert's 🙂
Greg,
I checked out DS9 and Morgans hawk and was surprised to see that these were
starships, not sure what you call them, ah!, runabouts <g>. When I saw you
describing your runabout problem, I was thinking small little boats, I used to
build ocean racing boats, so thats why I was referring to "lofting the planks"
as in yacht building.
Your models look great, they probably look real cool animated with cycling
lights, fly-by's, etc.
Keep up the good work.
-Mike
Mike, the hawk is now in another still called into the trap, which is a
series of stills showing a space battle, "trap" shows the "hawk" leaving the
Enterprise-D and moving into attack!
"Trap" should be on the Ashowcase Forum soon, Eric Petersonand myself have now
built about 9 of the major models from the Star Trek universe, but I had never
come across the weld problem before 🙂
5 People gave me advice on how to correct it including Adesk and my 3D's
dealership and you were the only one to get it right LOL,
Thanks agian, the Morgans hawk will be another 5 or so stills so enjoy your
Trek fame! 🙂
Matt 🙂
