John, enjoyed your article in Amazing Computing about Simile Res. and the Transformer. Do you have an address I could write to them? I have some questions about future functionality and interface to 3.2 of pcdos that I'd like to try them on. Also, did you get any feeling from them that they were going to put any work into another version? I know SIDECAR puts a bit of a damper on the idea, but I still think the concept of a software emulation is a good one.

Don, John Foust is no longer on the AmigaForum – you can reach him thru EasyPlex.

Also talk to SofTeam, Inc. in Florida, (305) 825-4820. They are working on a software emulation of the IBM PC, called PC/ET. They're quite a bit behind on their original ship date, but they are actively developing the product (someone from the company left an announcement apologizing for the delay, and then I had a long, interesting talk with him in COnference). They >hope< to approach full PC speed via software emulation. Since they're still developing the product, now would probably be a good time to give them any suggestions… – Bela

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we still have a long wait for PC-ET. As for a next version of Transformer, I'm sure we could have it quickly if CBM pays Simile what it owes them. I could be wrong, but I believe Simile wants to finish 1.2 to run under WB/KS 1.2 with external RAM and improved communications.
